Troy, MI - May 14 As part of its efforts to converge U.S. and international standards, the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) is replacing SAS No. 70, Service Organizations, with two new standards. SSAE No. 16 now regulates the requirements for reporting on controls at service organizations, while a new SAS, Audit Considerations Relating to an Entity Using a Service Organization, regulates auditing the financial statements of entities that use service organizations.
